2.4.1
Fix
Speaker labels now survive airplane mode
Notes recorded offline kept their audio but lost who said what when they synced. Labels are now saved on the phone first and merged after sync.
2.4
Feature
Ask your notes
Type a question (“what did Priya say about the budget?”) and Earshot answers with the exact clip and timestamp, searched across every note you have recorded.
2.3.2
Improvement
Transcription is 38% faster on older iPhones
A smaller on-device model for iPhone 12 and 13 finishes a one-hour lecture in under four minutes, with no accuracy loss on our 400-note test set.
2.3
Feature
Folders that file themselves
New notes land in the right folder based on what is said in them. Stand-ups, Lectures and Groceries learn from the first five notes you move by hand.
2.2.1
Fix
Lock Screen recordings no longer stop at 59:59
Long recordings started from the Lock Screen hit an old one-hour limit. The limit is gone: the longest note in our beta ran 6 h 12 min.
2.2
Feature
Summaries in 14 languages
Record in Portuguese and read the summary in English, or keep both. Summaries now follow the language you pick, not the one you spoke.
2.0
Feature
Earshot 2.0: on the device, first
Every word is now transcribed on your phone. Nothing leaves it unless you turn on sync, and sync is end-to-end encrypted.
1.8
Improvement
The record button, one tap closer
Start recording from the Action Button, the Lock Screen or a Watch complication. The tape counter starts before the screen does.
