Manual · Part 2 — What it does

Six things it does. Nothing it doesn’t.

Earshot is a recorder first. The transcript, the three-line summary and the answers all happen on your phone, after you press stop. This is the whole manual, in the order you will use it.

01

Chapter 01 — Record

One key, and it’s already listening.

Press the key on the lock screen, the Action button or your watch. Earshot starts in under a second and keeps going with the screen off, through calls and app switches, for up to four hours per note.

Chapter 02 — Transcribe

The words arrive while people are still talking.

The transcript is written on the phone as the audio comes in, with a label for each speaker and a timestamp on every line. Tap a line to hear it again. Nothing is uploaded, so there is nothing to wait for.

Chapter 03 — Summarise

Three lines instead of forty minutes.

When you stop, Earshot writes a summary you can read at a red light: who owns what, by when, and anything you asked it to remember. Action items become reminders with one tap.

Chapter 04 — Ask

Ask last Tuesday what it said.

Type a question and Earshot answers from your own notes only, with the exact line it came from. It can’t invent anything about a meeting it never heard.

Folders that fill themselves.

Notes file themselves by calendar event, place or speaker. Search reads what was said, not just the titles, so “that thing about the Android keys” finds the right minute.
