What Earshot keeps, and why

The short version: your recordings are yours.

Audio stays on your phone until you choose to sync. Synced audio is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Transcripts are generated on your device when possible and by our servers when you ask for a longer summary. We do not train models on your notes.

We count app opens and crashes without recording what you say. You can switch this off in Settings.
